I have a 2014 Ultra Limited. Recently the Navi stopped storing current destination when I turn the bike off. It still has the old destinations stored though. Was on short trip and stopped for fuel. When I started they bike up the route had been reset.
I stopped the bike, reentered the address with the bike not running but set in the ON position. I then restarted the bike and it lost the address again.
This time I kept the bike running and entered the address once again. The route stayed in it until I got to the destination 120 miles later. I turned the bike off, and when I turned it on again it once again had reset.
I stopped at a HD Dealer and went and asked service. The guy said he never heard of it and asked if my updates were current. I told him I doubted it. He updated my system ( I was 3 behind). But it did nothing to fix the issue.
Is it possible that the battery is going and when I start it loses power that is keeping the route in memory? The XM stations do not reset though. Just a guess.
Will be doing a 2000 mile round trip in couple of weeks and don't want to keep reentering the addresses.
I'm not sure why this happens or how to fix it - but don't keep reentering the address. From the 'Where to' menu, select 'Recent' It should be on the top of the list.
It sounds to me like you may have the memory completely filled up and it can't store any more. I make sure to delete routes when no longer needed, and clear all 'recent' destinations unless I need them.
