Waited for a month for the damn part to come in. Dealer actually recieved the kit and I was his first repair. After waiting all day at the dealer, I finally get the bike back. ( bike was running fine when I rode it in) I go to start it and the bike cranked for a second or two then started. I figured it was just a pressure thing. The bike rode fine all the way home. Three days later, (today) I go to board a ferry with five other guys for a rode trip and the bike sputters and dies. I was so pissed you got no idea. I call hog ( what a ****ing waste) and the guy tells me they will tow it the nearest dealer up to 10 miles away. The idiot tells me that the closet dealer was in CT across the Long Island sound. The real nearest dealer was about 20 miles away on Long Island. They wanted $150 dollars to tow my bike since I was over the 10 mile limit. What a joke hog is. I waited for the dealer to open and demanded they bring my bike in. So much for my trip.
If you want good road service take a look at RV ROADHELP. On line or 1-800-786-2277. They'll tow anything you're drivin' to the nearest service regardless of distance.
Similiar situation-bike taken in for recall maint, picked up and rode home fine. Next day went to start the bike and all it would do is turn over. HOG came and towed within an hour to dealer (open on a Sunday no less!) and they discovered a "loose fuel line". Hmmmmm, wonder how that happened. Dealer made right and fixed it within an hour and delivered bike back to my home by 4 that afternoon.
Happy with HOG, happy with dealer for making it right, but unhappy with dealer for causing the problem. Not happy with what could have been a much uglier situation.
