Miracle Mile HD came and picked it up 4 hours later. Waiting to hear what they say but I will bet 1000 bucks it's a lose fuel line. Any takers?
Nope... no bet here because I think your right. I have seen this happen with the fuel filter shell replacement. When installing the fuel lines there are 2 tabs on each hose that have to snap into place in order to get a positive connectin. You have to work them a bit in order to get them in place. If they don't get the positive connection the 58 lbs of fuel pressure will make a squeaking sound as it is escaping when you turn on the kill or ignition switchs. Did yours sound like that prior to not starting?
mine just did that squeeked when I started it tonight .. and ran fine home and now wont start .. 2nd weekend in a row the bike died and had great weather both weekends bummin right now

Jsimo7 That's what I'm talking about. More than likely one of the two lines to the fuel filter shell has come off. You can get into the tank, hook the lines back up properly and have the bike together and running in about 20 minutes. It's not that difficult.
At least the dealer came and picked up my bike. I am actually more pissed off with hog. What's with the 10 mile tow limit. How many people break down within 10 miles from a dealer. 150 bucks for a 15 mile tow is crazy. The hog membership was free with my 08 bike but there is no way in hell I plan on actually paying for it. Not to mention that the guy on the phone was an idiot. He insisted that the bike had to be towed to the nearest HD dealer. The problem was that the closest (14 miles as a bird flies) dealer was 160 road miles driving the length of Long Island to Ct. I finally convinced the jackass that unless he sent a helicopter, the bike would have to go about 15-20 miles and stay on Long Island. He calls me back to tell me that the roadside assistance will be $150. So what exactly is hog providing for me other then that lame *** magazine?
Did the fix myself 4 weeks ago, wen't to Sturges and rode 1,300 miles with no problems. Got home and found a warranty recall letter in the mail. Now I'm thinking, maybe it was a good thing I fixed it myeslf.
