Happened to me too. Made the trip home from dealer, 50 miles fine. Went to crank it up 2 days later and it had trouble starting. Took off with the wife on back and it was running weak. About 3/4 mile away from the house I turn it off. That was it. Walked home after calling the dealer, with a few words for the wrench, to get my trailer. Took it back to the dealer today where they found that one of the fuel lines was not properly installed to the new fuel filter. I was ticked to say the least.
The bike didn't let me down the mechanic did.
Tell your mechanic to tug on the hoses to insure they're secure.

Amazing....Seems like we all now have to worry that the fuel lines were installed right. Makes you wonder about these new quick connect lines.

Mandog, When you get your bike back from the dealer please let us know how things turn out. As I said before I'm not going to take your bet because when I bet I like to win, not lose. Here's the way I see it. Everything today is about quick this and quick that and made of plastic. I'm not talking about the advancments in technology but how I long for the way things used to be built but then again I'm getting to be an old guy.

Thats what was it. I pulled the basket out and the lower fuel line was off the new basket. I put it on and it fired right up. It was about 20-30 min job, but took another hour or so cleaning everything up and waxing under the seat and tank console. Thanks Dawg
