Ditched the autotune
CFR's don't tune well. But that's the cost we pay...
He didn't say how he tuned it, but Auto Tune Pro will also adjust the timing. FM suggests tuning the VE tables and then tuning the timing tables w/ PowerVision & AT Pro.
If you start with a tune for your mods, from a reputable tuner, the timing tables should be real close. These tunes are usually based on dyno tunes of the same bike with same or similar mods.
My experience (although limited to tuning just 4 different bikes), the basic auto tune will do a good job of adjusting the tune for the difference in your VE table v the bike actually dyno tuned...
With a close map, the AT Pro (using wideband O2 sensors) should be able to really dial in the map.... the difference between AT pro on a good map, and a dyno tune is the knowledge/experience of the tuner v the PV/AT software. Sadly, in a lot of cases, the tuner isn't as good.....
I was surprised that AT Pro on an FM map wouldn't be awesome....!!
I missed that the OP had CFRs.... I've read they can be "hard" (PIA) to tune on other forums...
Just to stress, I like playing with this stuff and learning on my own, which is why I haven't had it professionally dyno'd........yet!
