Hi all... Does anyone have any suggestions for after market exhausts? I have a 2015 electra glide. It's a Police Glide and it's like a blank canvas... which I love.
Just seeking some wisdom from the forum.
More info on what you are looking for would be a big help. Are you looking for max power? Plan on getting a tuner? Are you a true Dual kind of guy? THere's hundreds of options out there and a lot a opinions... Narrow it down a bit and that will give you better responses.
Not enough time under my saddle to address max power. Duals are preferred. Just sticking the toe in the water because I know there are opinions...good and less than that.
the cop bikes are not unique mechanically- you can use anything made for any other touring series bike.
the best suggestion is to go to a bike night or other event ( maybe at the HD Museum) and listen to what other riders have...see what you like, see what you don;t ask guys what they have ( both the ones you like and those you don;t.
very generally some guys want "sound" others want "go" and these are not always the same
careful with internet opinions and sound is very subjective...some of teh guys on this forum are on their 3rd or 4th set of exhaust...I've used the same exhaust on my last 3 Harleys
I like the look of CVO muffles. Add some Fullsac baffle and have a inexpensive set of slip on's that are good sounding and performing. There was a set on classified yesterday.
check out fuelmoto, they have lots of options, a higher performance AC, catless head pipe, add a powervision for a tune & you have a nice setup... did this to my 2014 flhtk and couldn't be happier.
If you just want to change the appearance and maybe get a lower tone, you could do slip-ons and new heat shields. I turned mine to black and used Supertrapp Stouts. Looks great (to me) and low mellow tone. Not loud.
I learned my lesson on the last bike. Messing with it too much yielded undesirable results, ie.e too loud. ymmv.
