Default 2007 ultra classic

Hey folks! I don't know if this is allowed or even in the right place to ask.....but I have some details about a bike I'm looking to buy.

It's a 2007 ultra-classic (now it basically a street glide)
26" mag wheel
Raked out
Air ride front and back
Python exhaust
Stretched bags
Screaming eagle 255 cam
Screaming eagle breather
Klockwerks visor
14" apes
Helluva stereo
good rubber all around
Custom paint
Quick detach sissy bar setup
Great condition with 51,xxx miles

What do you guys think of the bike?

I know a lot of guys won't like the big wheel out front, but I do.
What does that do to ride comfort? Turning radius? Etc...

Just looking for a little feedback. Keep in mind I'm accustomed to hard tail bar hoppers, just looking to make the switch.

Thanks in advance

I think for $40K its a bad deal. For $5K its a great deal. And welcome to HDForums.

Bahahaha, thanks buddy! I guess I forgot to add the price part......I'm thinking about giving 15 for it. I know, I know I'm paying up for the add ons. Just wondering if anyone had/has/rode a bike similar?

15 seems like a lot for a almost 10 year old bike with 50 + on the clock IMHO.

You asked 'what do you think'--- My only thought is that if I were in the market for a bagger,I would not even look at this one.[unless maybe I could buy it cheap enough to be able to put it back to stock at a reasonable cost.]
No I haven't ridden a big wheel, but I do know that my stock Ultra handles beautifully.

I bought my 2007 with 48,000 2 years ago for 12,000. I wouldn't pay over 9,000 for it now. I know you like the upgrades and add-ons but, I wouldn't buy it. I would aim for 2009 and newer if I were you.

For the amount of add ons $15k isnt terrible but it's just not for everyone. It'd have to be exactly how I want it to buy it at that price though. I mean you figure if you bought another bike at $8-9k then add on parts and labor then you're going to be close to $15k. So if it's dead on what you'd want then it's a good deal for you...maybe not so much for anyone else.

Bought my 07 ultra 15 months ago.
95% stock, 24k miles, fresh rebuild by HD on the engine and 2.5 years remaining on HD warranty. Paid $14k for it.

The bike you're looking at has had a LOT done to it and you have no idea about the quality or competency of the work done. Nor do you know how hard it has been ridden and how well it has been cared for.

My feeling is that it's over priced and not "you own". So, I agree with the guy that said to find a stock bike priced really well and do your own upgrades, go as crazy as you want and make it your own.

I would be asking more about the motor and trans and see of they have even looked at it. Ask for service records and run the VIN# for a salvage title. I would think it would be in the range of 12-13K. I know the big wheel baggers are going for high prices right now but that will fade. I had my SG when the big wheel custom choppers were in now my bagger is cool and paid for. HAHA!

Be ready to own this bike for a long time. That year and 2008 are odd ***** for adding stuff not huge but different HD made changes from earlier years to 2007 then again a few more in 2008 then wheel and frame changes in 2009 so 2007 is a very odd year bike.

I have a 2007 SG and will be right at 50K at the end of the season. I know my bike needs to have the compensator addressed but other than that I have been very happy with it. Routine normal maintenance and it should be a good bike for years to come.

Good luck and let us know what end up with. Oh yeah we like pics too.
