Look up fellow inmate Robbyville. He has a Dyna that had the Andrews 57H and FP3. He's now running a different setup, but from what I remember, it seemed to be a solid configuration. IIRC, he had called V&H to develop a map for him. This was just prior to having cams as an option in the FP3.
If it matters, I bought Robbyville's Andrews 57H cams and currently have an FP3. Working on getting the other parts together to do the install. While I don't think the FP3 will replace a professional tune, it will get pretty close.

How does the FP3 compare to going to the Harley dealer and having them do the download tune.?
Most dealers just have canned epa tunes/maps for SE tuners and suck at Dyno tuning their own stuff. Getting proper tunes on aftermarket parts/tuners from a HD dealer is for the most part impossible... If you are planning cams, find the best Dyno guy in your area (most likely not your dealer) iand get the tuner he recommends.

Assuming the HD dealer actually has a map for a non HD cam (which I doubt), no idea on the actual tune. However, the FP3 has the ability to "autotune" after the map is installed.
Based on my experience of having a Stage 1 setup, inclusive of the FP3, the autotune works. As mentioned above in my last post, will it be as good as getting an actual tune from a good/great dyno tech....no, but it will get close.
To the OP, if at some point you're planning on doing heads and/or increase in displacement, I would look at a different tuner...something that you're local dyno tech would suggest. For me, cams are the biggest engine upgrade I plan on doing on my bike, so for me, no reason to switch from the FP3.
