I would like to be able to easily remove the back touring pack and put a solo seat when riding around town and be able to put it back for long rides. Im new to harleys and just got new CVO Road Glide.

Install a detachable hardware bracket on your bike, you'll need the 4 point style not the two. Then pick any tourpack you want and just get the detachable base for it. On and off in seconds, unless you add speakers and lights but it still is an easy process. If you want oem colors to match your bike you can order strait from the dealer with your paint code.
Mine was just a plain king tour pack when I first assembled it, then I added lights and them speakers and a luggage rack.
