Default Fairing questions

My bike used to belong to my dad and when he had it, he was in to the Roadking thing. So he removed the fairing and added the nacelle. Needless to say that I would prefer to have the fairing back. Been looking online and I could only find used inner and outer shells for 80s era fairings. How much is different between the pre-96 fairing and post-96 fairing...as far as the fairing itself?

Do you know if it will bolt up to a 1989 FLHTCU?

Well basically the fairings bolt up where the light bar bolts up. So have those bolt patterns changed from the mid-80s, and of so, when did they change?
