Which jack?
I use the J&S every day to spin the bike around and push it against the front wall. It's really well made and moves the bike pretty effortlessly. I asked this same question back in January, and I'm happy I listened to these guys and picked one up! Cry once get the J&S
I had the sears yellow and red. Both got the job done but being extra careful was the way. Then I purchased the pitbull and it was a fantastic stable jack. After moving into a smaller home I didn't have the room in the garage so I sold it and bought the J&S. The J&S is one great jack and so is the pitbull. I would say the pitbull was the better jack if you have the room for it but it is heavy. The extra 7 or 8 inches of lift came in very handy with a pitbull. To me the pitbull Was a step above the J & S but they are both great Jack's
OK, a bottle of Jack then I order a J&S Jack.
But my cheap Canadian Tire jack has served me well and if it fails tomorrow I got my moneys worth. I believe it is equivalent to the sears jack. I pretty much park my bike on it at least every week or 2. I first bought it to turn my bike in the cramped garage I used to have using it a few times a day sometimes. I was nervous at first but after some use I found I could jump on the bike while lifted, it wobbled, but it was secure. Just make sure any time you lift the bike the centre of gravity is good. If I plan on taking off the back tire I'll make sure it is a little heavy to the rear, visa vera if the front wheel is coming off. For cleaning both wheels come off the ground at the same time.
Most importantly, you do want to lift your bike high, it is a good feature. It comes in handy when used with one of the short adjustable roller stools for working on the lower parts of the bike. Especially when you need to pull your back wheel off a touring bike or simply checking tire pressure with a bad back.

Don't mean to sound like a broken record.....but I love my J&S jack too! My cheap jack worked, but is NOT the same animal. The J&S jacks platform is at an angle while in the lowered position. This allows it to slide under lowered bikes without having to grab the handlebars and center the bike before sliding the jack.....and being able to remove wheels without strapping down the bike is awesome!
QUESTION:
With this jack, can I easily get to the bolts under my Streetglide to drain the oil? Maybe I didn't watch the video close enough but it looks like these 2 bolts are blocked.
Just double checking before I order the thing.
Thanks!
