Its really not 'that' hard unless you don't enjoy distance riding. I have a few friendswho ride (or should I say 'they own bikes') that will trailer their bikes to anything that is more than 200 miles away. The IronButt is not for those types. I did it alone and would recommend it that way unless you can trust that your riding buddies are not whiners or don't take good enough care of their bikes to trust them to make it. Myself, I don't like to babysit anyone, so going it alone was the best option. I also wouldn't want any problems I have to screwsomeone else up.
