Got them friday from fuel moto for my 14 sgs. Megaphone's with black tips. Absolutely love the looks and quality of these, the black fluted tips are a very nice touch. As far as the sound, these mufflers have a deep growling tone I have never heard before. Thought at first they weren't much louder than my jackpot/comp baffle setup, but after about 50 miles or so, man these things have an extremely deep thumping bass type sound. Love the deep growl these have, but to be honest I am a bit concerned on a long ride or wearing a full face helmet, that they will be a bit overwhelming from the constant deep drone type sound. Probably just worrying for nothing and after some mileage I won't even think about it, time will tell. Performance wise, tried a few tunes on the power vision for the jackpot 2-1-2 headpipe and it ran like ****, horrible throttle response down low on both tunes. Loaded my auto tune result from my jackpot/comp baffles and runs great. Get a slight pop every now and then shifting gears and low end seems a tad more sluggish, but once again probably just my head playing tricks on me bc I was worried about fuel moto telling me I would lose some on the bottom end. Haven't done any auto tune runs yet, but hopefully that will help. Overall I am happy with them and they look amazing. Looking forward to get some miles on them in the next few days so I can update my thoughts on them lol
Thanks for the review. I'm waiting for mine to get to me from ups, should be here Tuesday. Just curious but can you compare the sound to the cfr's? I haven't heard either one of these in person so I'm getting anxious reading all the reviews on the web. I've got rinehart 3.5 on right now and just hoping they'll be at least louder than what I've got.

Can't compare to cfr's, never heard them yet. They may not necessarily be louder than rinehart, but definitely a deeper tone so they will probably seem louder. Not obnoxiously loud, but bassani's "deep and throaty" is dead on with these!
Adding a pair of W258 Thunder Torque Inserts from DK Customs will solve your loss of low end. I lost a bunch of low end when I went to true duals with 2.5" baffles...the TTI's brought it back and it sounds great.

Awesome, thank you. Definitely gonna have to order some. Looked them up and it says u can alter the volume/sound of the exhaust using these inserts?

HA! Got my UPS notice that mine are coming Tuesday too....not the same truck I'm betting though Can't wait to put them on and hear them in person.
I've used the TTI's on my sportster with good results and made my own to mount in my current RK slip on. Does the DNT have a hole that can be used to install the TTI or would we have to drill one?
I also installed the DNT today and did about 200 miles, I did notice a bit of low end loss compared to my RCX 4" slip on. It does have a low growl sound to them and I'm not sure if I like them yet.

Overall the TTIs made exhaust sound deeper and a little "crisper". The pulses seemed more distinct and I felt it was a positive change. I'm not sure what they will do on the DNT or where they will mount. They are supposed to mount a bit inside the end of the exhaust pipe. The pipes I put them in were American Custom on my Sporty and they happened to have a bolt hole there for thier swappable baffle. Doubt the DNT has anything handy like that.
As far as "adjusting" the sound I'd say it was a very minimal difference if at all.
Are your DNTs running on a catless head pipe or factory stock header with the cat still in?

Yes you can....I run mine perpendicular to the flow which is where I think they sound and perform the best. You can turn them to open the flow more but in my case I wanted to increase back pressure, thereby restoring my low end (which it did nicely). My Rush Big Louies have two screws holding in each baffle. I used the rearmost hole and it worked out perfect.
The TTI's are really a new play on the homemade lollipops (washer welded to a bolt) that guys have been using for years but the TTI's are cheap and have a nice finished look to them. Well worth the money in my opinion. Good luck
