Default Security System Not Working

Noticed by chance that it didn't matter if my fob was with me or not when starting my 2013 Ultra ! I don't know what that is supposed to mean other than something wrong.

Was at the gas station and realized my key for the fuel door was at home with my fob! After I thought about it , wondered if my bike would start. It did and went back to the house to get my key and fob!

Did you forget that you put the second fob in your saddlebag?

I had that same thing happen. Go get your FOB flashed to the bike at the dealer.

Exactly what I was thinking..the other fob is hidden somewhere on the bike. If my fob is more than about 8 feet away from my bike, it will not start and the ignition is disabled. The siren will also go off if you attempt to turn on the switch and not have the fob within that 8 foot radius.

So hunt for the other fob or check your error codes for a possible problem.

I believe on your 05 you have the button fob. You don't need a fob with you as long as the alarm isn't set.
