dropped the bike this weekend. Broken collar and shoulder. I think the bike will be totaled.
I want another Ultra Classic Limited but what years. Would like to have a Rushmore but doubt i will have the money. i think I read somewhere along the line the there was a good frame change in 09 moving forward. Not looking to bash any particular year just want the most bang for my buck.
Sorry to hear about you and the bike. That really sucks. I was in a bad wreck back in 2011 and also broke my collarbone, shoulder, 8 rib breaks and a few other things. I was off the bike for a few months while doing rehab getting all my bodily functions back up to speed. I pulled my handlebars back towards me a bit to help in not stretching things out too far. Took very short rides at first to get back comfortable. Good luck to you!
Cycle Trader is a good place to start looking. You might find that you can get a replacement for much less than you think. In November 2014 I got 2013 Limited with 2,112 miles on it for 18,500. Don't pay attention to the prices that are posted. Call and make offers. You might have to travel a little to get one, but everyone needs a little road trip once in a while.
Must have been a bit more complicated than just a drop to total the bike and break your collar bone and shoulder. Glad to hear you are on the mend. I would wait until August to get another bike. It will probably take that long before you are medically ready anyway. If there is a big change to the bikes for next model year, the Rushmores will get a lot cheaper.
