Did they change the bars on the 2015 RK compared to the 2009?
I was at the dealer yesterday and it looks like the new RK's have more of a Heritage style bar now?
I am contemplating switching handlebars on my 2009 RKC and I was thinking of trying the Heritage bars (56902-08). How do these compare to the stock bars on the newer Road Kings?
In 2014 they started using the "heritage for Road King" bars, that same bar has been many years on the Police Touring bikes. Most would consider them an improvement over what came on 08-13 bikes. They do need to be tilted a good ways toward the rider to flatten out the grips, and taller guys like me may feel a bit cramped space wise. I run '09 Heritage bars, which have a good grip angle adjusted parallel to fork. Bars are pretty subjective, but the Heritage for RK bars are loved by many
I think I found the part number (55800099) for the new 2014 RK handlebars. Now the question is will this bar fit a 2009 without changing cables? I know that the Heritage bars (56902-08) will fit but not sure about the new ones?

Have to agree - I ride a '13 RK. The stock bars SUCKED. I replaced them with the Heritage style RK bars and it made all the difference in the world. Prior to those bars I would start losing fealing in the pinky and ring fingers in my throttle hand after about 30 min. There s even a great step by step how to posted on these forums. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/showt...errerid=204690
No need to change any cables or wires...just go slow and you'll be fine.

I saw the post and am not concerned with the install (I am pretty handy). What did concern me a little is the mixed reviews for the Heritage bars (56902-08) and was wondering if the 2014 RK bars are a better choice?
I can't stand the new bars. I do have long arms and am 6-1 . I scored a set of older road glide bars which have 2" higher riseare a little flatter with a wrist angle more parallel to the front axle.
