Hey all,

Thanks much for your replies! This is a big help! I spent a few hours last night going through the HD Access catalog and website but it wasn't very clear what was needed.

I'm going online to find the part numbers you provided. Thank again...

Regards

Hey all...OP here.

Thanks again for the replies/info. Y'all have some nice bikes!

Cathead: Thanks for the part #s. PN 68997-09 is not recognized on the HD Accessory website but I did get some hits for this number on HD dealer/vendor sites. Still investigating, but the pics of this rear turn signal assembly look to be what I'm after (RG-style/halogen). I think it will look great on my '14 RK.

RKZen: Thanks! The part no. P/N 69577-06A includes a bracket supporting each of these front turn signals. That bracket bolts to the upper and lower bolt locations of the nacelle. I assume this set-up would require inserting the detachable windshield hardware for my RK between these turn signal brackets and the nacelle which would leave a gap.

I'd rather just mount a simple bullet turn signal (styled to match the rear RG turn signal assembly), and the detachable windshield hardware to the lower bolt location of the nacelle using a threaded bolt and locknuts. I'd prefer a cleaner look vs. adding a bracket to the sides of the nacelle, especially given the need to mount detachable windshield hardware on the nacelle. I had done the same for my 04 FatBoy years ago using the stock front turn signals and it worked great.

So the search goes on for a part number for front bullet turn signals that I can simply mount to the lower nacelle bolt location along with the detachable windshield hardware...any suggestions??

Thanks all...

Bump...

From OP:

So the search goes on for a part number for front bullet turn signals (halogen / matching the RG-style rear turn signal assembly) that I can simply mount to the lower nacelle bolt location along with the detachable windshield hardware for my '14 Road King...any suggestions??

Got some possible options from the J&P Cycles catalog, but a HD product may be the best option to match the HD rear RG-style turn signal assembly. Also, there's nothing like first-hand experience/advice from a forumite who's been there...

Thanks again...

What if you get street glide front signals with their mounting brackets? they attach to the same place as the rubber mounts for your windshield. It may work

Joe -

Thanks for the reply. I'll check out the RG-style front turn signal. I need to go to the dealer to see some product.

For my '14 RK, I definitely want an RG-style rear turn signal assembly (see similar attached), and a matching front bullet turn signal that I can attach to the lower nacelle bolt location along with the detachable windshield hardware in-between. I prefer not to use any bracket between the nacelle and the front turn signal...just a threaded bolt and nuts to lock it tight.

A front turn signal like the attached from J&P would work if the styling and threads are compatible. Splicing into the electrical system is another question I'll have to resolve. I also want to install the HD Engine Guard Mounted Fog Lamps-68000118 to the front crash bars. That's my plan for eliminating the stock accessory light bar assembly and stock rear turn signals on my RK. Everything will likely be halogen (vs LED) like stock.

I'm sure someone else had done something similar to their RK. I'll let the forum know when I get it figured out.

Advice welcomed... Thanks

OP here -

With regards to my previous posts, I've been saying "RG-style rear signal light assembly", but what I meant to say is 'Street Glide rear signal light assembly'. I assume these rear signal assemblies are the same on both models. I always mix-up the SG and RG models.

Hey all - Thanks again for the help. Here's an update...

From forum replies...the SG bullet-style rear turn signal assembly Part No 68997-09 (for 2014 Ultra and the 2009 Street Glide), should bolt onto my 2014 Road King without modification/hassle. Waiting for confirmation before ordering.

With regard to mounting a front bullet-style turn signal housing to the lower mounting stud location for the nacelle of my '14 RK, I would have to tap the standard 5/16 x 24 thread found on most front turn signal housings to a 5/16x18 thread size to fit the lower mounting stud for the nacelle. I'm guessing an aftermarket or HD bullet-style front turn signal housing can take the stress of tapping to a 5/16 x 18 thread size?? I may use J&P Cylces front turn signal part nos 3200507 (Deuce-style) or 3050119. Has anyone tried this??

Thanks again...

I mounted SG front turn signals on my 14 RK for a while. I had to make a harness to get them to work, used HD parts. The SG signals work, look clean but it takes some finess to get them to work with the windshield. I would sell the harness for $20 if you decide to go with that route.
