Default A quick servicing question

Yes I know..................not another oil question. Planning a long 3 week fully loaded 2 up trip down to the end of Baja for my holidays in July. Going to be doing a complete lube re and re before I head down. So what would you guys put in the three holes weight wise for an extended high heat run like I am planning. Thanks in advance

Redline makes a 20-60 for the engine. Gear oil in tranny and Rotella 15-40 in the primary.

I live in AZ- high heat.

I use the lubes spec'd in my manual--- syn3 motor oil, HD primary + in the primary and tranny.

it works, there are no magic fluids.

I am cheep and don;t like to waste money, but there are no apparent savings for me using any other fluid. the stock stuff is available anywhere if you need to do an oil change or top up.

when riding in our heat, cover up bare skin- light coloured jacket is best, drink a liter an hour and pedialyte or gatorade at fuel stops.
carry a little bottle of octane boost if you are going to mexico

I live in the cool and balmy UK and use the three current MoCo oils, as per the manual. There are far too many alternative oil brands suggested around HDF to bother picking something different! Life is too short.......

Use whatever you normally use. Change it again when you return if you have to.

I use mobile v-twin in crankcase, redline in Trans and HP Formula + in primary.
I ride, mostly 2 up, in central Georgia where most summer days are mid to upper 90s.
I like the redline in the Trans because I perceive that it runs quieter and shifts better. But it could also be because I finally have the clutch adjusted right...
