What should you see when you look in the rear of the left muffler on a 2011 electraglide ultra classic. I have a rattle when I hit a bump or gun the engine. It sounds like it is coming from the left muffler. When I look in the muffler it is occluded about 5-6 inches in. It looks like a pie has been cut into 3rds and put back together. Is this normal. I asked my local Harley dealer and they don't know. Stated "have never seen that before, but it might be normal" I don't know of possible could be a broken baffle. Any help would be appreciated.
I have tried to get a picture but I can't get the camera to focus and see inside of the muffler. It is the stock muffler. I guess my next question would be, the right muffler is clear without any obstructions. Should the left be just like the right or are they different when you look inside them? When I start it up I have about half as much exhaust coming out of the left side compared to the right, is that normal?

It's like it's supposed to be,you can't see through the left muffler.
Check you muffler clamp, your heat shield next to muffler on that side.also check the rubber on the bracket under saddlebag and make sure it's is snug and not loose.if you find out it is muffler I am sure someone would send you a stock muffler just for the shipping,or pick up a pull off at dealer on the cheap.
My guess is the heat shield on the left side. I would check that first.
If it comes up fine. Find a cheap or freebie take off muffler. Most people give them away.
Thought I has a loose baffle and turned out to be the light bar was loose. In the heat of the day the metal would expand and the rattle would go away to return when the weather was cooler. Might be worth checking.
