Default Another seat thread

Hey Guys, I'm new here and just bought a 09 Road Glide. I'm having a heck of a time finding a seat to fit me well. I've tried all the Harley demo seats. The tall boy, hammock, and bad lander. Also a buddy had a Mustang super touring and it felt like it pushed me more toward the tank than the stock seat. Also, just ordered and received a Danny Gray bigist with the air hawk system. That one sat me too low and not really far enough back. I'm 6'5 with a 32 inch inseam and 340lbs. I'm really interested in what you guys have on your Road Glides. Two up or solos I don't really care. Pictures too if you would please. I know there are a number of posts about seats for big guys and believe me I've read a lot of them. Thanks for any info you might provide me.

There's a current thread for tall guys, I recommend you take a look in there. Many of the posts are about seats.

Thanks, I've been reading that and every page that I can find on seats for taller guys. I'll find a seat eventually. I appreciate your response.

I'm 6'2 and 34 inseam, i recently bought a c&c solo that was low profile and pushed back 2 inches. It gives me the room that my legs like and not to far from the handlebars.

Went to Americade and visited the Mustang booth. Acouple of trials had me on a wide solo that is working out well. Sets me back well over an inch and almost feels like just a bit up. For me, it's a very comfortable seat at 6' 205lbs.

Thanks for the responses. I'll check those seats out. Also I've read up a little on the Harley Brawler solo. That seat looks like it might work out. I'll have to hit my dealership and local organized rides and see if anyone has one I can check out.

OP -
I'm 6'0 with 32-33" inseam. I have a '14 Road King.

With the stock seat, I was way too cramped with the legs...too close to the tank.

I went with a LePera Maverick Daddy Long Legs, 2-up saddle. This seat set me 2" back and 1" down from the stock seat position. Great seat...firm, comfortable on long trips, well-made...quality materials, full metal seat pan, cover riveted to seat pan (no staples).

They have a few seat models. The "Daddy Long Legs" version of the 'Maverick' model seat gives you the extra 2" rearward vs. the standard 'Maverick' model. Check out their website for other models, but look for the "Daddy Long Legs" version of whichever model you prefer. Call LePera if you have questions. They were very helpful.

Online vendors carry their seats. Call around for best price.

Good luck.
