I'm sure this has been discussed but I'm asking anyway. I have a 13 slim. The stock seat puts me at the right height so my feet are flat (I'm 5'0) but there's no back support and I feel like I'm sliding off the back sometimes so I keep repositioning myself. I've looked at a ton of seats, ordered a few to try, but they all end up putting me higher and my feet are back to tip-toes. I know I could get a thicker seat and lower the bike but I'm afraid I'll drag through every curve (I live in the mountains - close to the Tail of the Dragon). There's not a lot of options for the slim. I'll be visiting Bike Week this week and I plan to look there but Im sure there will be tons of seat vendors and I feel like I should narrow my search some. FYI the Danny Gray Buttcrack put me too high, as did the Corbin solo, ordered a saddlemen hoping it would work but they don't make slim seats - I just found a good deal and thought I'd try since HD says a lot of things don't fit a slim but actually do with little to no modifications. I prefer a solo seat but with limited options I'm willing to look at others. Thanks in advance.
I have read so many posts over the years where people have tried many seats to find one they like. That caused me to go another route. I took my stock seats and backrests to an upholsterer and had it made and customized to "fit" me.
I had the stock padding removed and replaced with gelfoam, not gel inserts, and it was one of the best mods on my bike, which my bike has many. It cost me the same as if I would have gone out and bought new seats. They fit me perfectly and is way more comfortable than stock or anything else I could have bought new.
Mines mustang solo seat, I'm 5' also and had the same problem on my 2016 slim. The mustang seat I got has the rollup that fits me pretty good and also moves me a bit forward. I chose the brown diamond stitch since I thought it suited the color of my bike.
I just saw a HardDrive push-up seat on craigslist and checked out the reviews. The reviews seem positive and sounds like it gets you down and forward 2 inches. They claim to have "added lower back support."
