Is it absolutely necessary to move the tour pak to the rear position. I think I am hearing that some are getting by with adjusting the speaker mounting screws/holes only.
I wondered if what you UC owners have is the same as what's here at the HD sight: http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
Judging by the HD sight, it seems it's the same rail for all touring models mentioned.
The pic concerns me a bit because the rail seems to make it tough to open/close the saddlebags.
KG - as you've already seen, the grab rails will fit and shouldn't interfere with bags, unless you've got the top-rails. I stuck the grab rail on my RKC when I got the "cushy" seat for Nona. Keeps tha bags from opening all the way, but still not an issue. MoCo sure knows how to getcha - used to come standard - even on the standards.
A friend of mine has an 05 that came with the rail, and he installed the lid rails on the saddle bags. I have not noticed him having a hard time getting the saddle bags open.
Did Harley change the trunk mount?
I am trying to purchase one on eBay, but keep getting outbid.
Stop it fellows. This isn't funny.
Oh well, I guess I will keep bidding.
Thanks for the info.
Rick
I bid on a few and lost, then I foundonewith no previous bids for $5.00 and paid $15.00 for shipping. Patience really pays off. Good luck. I don't think I have purchased a new accessory for my RK since discovering e-Bay. Every few days I look under "American" and sort by "Auctions Ending Soonest." It's always cool when things escape notice or nobody is interested.
