Yea, i installed one on my 06 UC and my buddy did likewise on his 07. the trunk may have to be moved back and the mounting holes for the speakers "cleaned" to allow the speakers to move upward as much as possible, BUT IT WILL FIT... REALLY NICE TO HAVE IF YOU HAVE TO PICK UP THE BIKE!
They are not cheap though. I went to buy one for my Road Glide and they wanted $140.00 for it. I said that's insane to the guy behind the counter, so he looks around to see who's there and says,I have the one I took off my Ultra at home in the garage, don't want it, you can have it for $40.00 so I tell him you got a deal my friend. Ask around, might just pay off for you.
DITTO, on my 2007 UC. It is little s**t like this that makes me get p****d at the MOCO. The Grab Rails Fit just fine on the '06 and '07's, they saved $140 bucks by taking them off the last 2 years and the MSRP didn't change.
I don't have or like the tour pac rack, so when I ride solo and the S/O rides her bike I can bungee stuff (duffle, etc) to my rear seat, the grab rails are perfect anchors.
So no modifications necessary? Just take off the seat and bolt them on? Why the hell does MoCo say they wont fit a touring bike with tourpac & rear speakers? Very strange.
I got a rail off ebay for $35 plus shipping. on my bike the rail barely missed the speaker boxes (UC) until i loosened the nuts in the trunk and moved the speakers up.
Here's a pic of mine. On a Road Glide, with the King Tour Pak,Double lid rails and the Ultra rear speakers. They do fit. Now mind you it's a big PITA opening the saddle bags because the lid rail hits the passenger grab handle but I've got pretty good at getting it open.
You have 2 adjustments on the tour pack. You have to have the tour pack adjusted back to the farthest position. You may also have to "ream" the rear speaker box holes to move the boxes up a "tad". I just bent the grab rail slightly. 45.00 bucks on ebay.
