Just a quick check to see if anyone has ever replaced the silver faced gauges in a RG to the Black face and if they have a pic. im having a bit of problem reading the silver and wondering about changing to the black style....thanks in advance

I have the black face gauges on my 2003 RG. I believe they came stock so should be no problem swapping gauges. I agree that they are easier to read than the silver face gauges.

hey Ghost if its not a hugh pain can you shoot me a pic of your guages, the swap im not woried about but i just am wondering about the look of the black, out here in BFE oklahoma i dont even see any RG's to check and none of the dealers i have looked at had one to compare to...thanks man

Beem awesome looking bike man that was just what i needed i think im start collecting the back face gauges and add that to the winter project list.

Keep looking on ebay. Many who swap out for silver sell their black ones cheap.

I was thinking about swapping out the black gauge for silver on mine. When/if you decide to do it, let me know. I can take those gauge off your hands. The plexiglass on my guages is crazed, so you wouldn't want these.
