I went down on my 12 Street Glide due to an a$$hole who almost hit me head on. Ran out of road and bike hit a curb and frame got bent at the cross member plus scrapes and dents to various stuff. So the question I'm asking is how long does it take Harley to ship out a frame with my bikes vin on it. Dealer says a month at least and also how long does painted parts take to be delivered. Sucks I won't have my bike for all this time just wondering if any of you been thru this before? Thanks and watch out, there all trying to kill you and they don't stay for the aftermath either! 😡
I went through a similar thing 3 years ago. I went down end of May, wasn't riding until mid-August. Also, the new frame I got from Harley doesn't have my bikes vin stamped on it. Did they tell you yours would?
So now will it have a salvage title ? Wow if the frame doesn't have you vin stamped on it the value just went down the drain. Sometimes its best just to walk away and get a new bike.

No it won't be a salvage title since he is getting a new frame with the original V.I.N on it form Harley.
Harley dealer has to cut the neck off and send back after the new frame arrives. At least that's what they told me when my 09 frame was swapped at the end of 2012. The insurance people must of been crazy because the paper work estimate was about 19k to fix, parts, labor etc. and they said it was cheaper than totaling it with the extra crap I had installed.
The guy that hit me had AAA insurance and was found at fault. My insurance, progressive at the time handled the repairs etc and when the CHP report came back listing other guy at fault AAA assumed responsibility.
