Greetings everyone,
I have tried searching the forums for a solution but have not come across anything definitive. I have a 2007 FLHRC. Stage 1 air cleaner, V&H slip ons and a fuel pak. Last couple weeks have noticed my bike sputtering when taking off from a stop. Gets worse when it warms up. It smooths out some in the higher RPM's, Pulled plugs and looked good. Unplugged Fuelpak and runs the same. Installed new 10mm SE plug wires. No change. I decided to remove coil and test. I have a little over 6K ohms on the secondary circuit between the towers (May be the problem. dont know what the specs are yet). I need confirmation on testing the primary circuit. There are 4 pins. A-Power, B-Ion, C-Cyl front and D-Cyl rear. How should I check the primary circuit? I am leaning towards the CKP (have not tested yet) but wanna make sure before re-installing the coil.
Thank you very much
Check the fuel lines in the tank. Those lines are notorious for developing pin hole leaks that can cause fuel starvation when you get past 1/2 a tank of fuel. When you turn te key to the on position you should hear the fuel pump charging the system. If you hear any gurgling sounds coming from inside the tank you may have a hole in one of your lines inside the tank causing fuel starvation.

Sounds like fuel more than anything else, similar thing wrecked Biketoberfest for me last year.
When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? If you have the means to check pressure coming out of the tank you should have better than 55psi...

Ya, that jumped out at me too. If you have not changed your fuel filter in the last couple of years, do so.
