Weird issue with ohlins
Maybe it's all in my head, but have had my ohlins hd159 shocks installed for about 2k miles now and absolutely love them. Took the wife for the 1st ride recently, cranked the preload collar about 6 turns to accommodate for her weight. Rode fantastic with her on the back. Afterwards, turned the preload collar back to the solo position (I have it marked so I know where the preload started it's life) and for some reason the shocks feel much stiffer than before the test ride with the wife. I am 100% certain I have them adjusted the same, where they performed great before riding with the wife and adjusting preload, but I swear they don't feel the same as before
Maybe try backing them all the way off and readjust back to your solo mark? Kind of like a reboot!I have the HD 357 (6s) and at first they were smooth as silk, now seems to be stiffer. Going to watch feedback here and see if there's any adjustment tricks.
This is probably my problem. I did reduce one full turn preload and 2 clicks rebound and it seems a bit better
