Default Back to Stock

I removed my pcIII, supertrap se slipons, and kn air filter after returning from MBBW. The bike wasn't really that loud but after a 500 mile day it was too loud for me. I'm going to run it stock for a while and see if I can dowithout the 8 extra ponies. Gas milage was around 38 mpg for a 1700 mile trip. I'm going to check the difference this week running stock.
The pciii is going back to Dynojet to see if there is a problem. I am one of the unlucky ones that have the off idle stumble.

Been wanting to do the Stage 1 to mine but hesitant because it runs great and seems like folks out there have too many problems with their add on's. Glad to see somebody going back to Stock.

I am going to be able to do an honest comparison. I'm definetly going to pay attenttion to performance, mileage, and heat issues. I was initually impressed with the sound and performance of the add ons. I'm not sure ifit was worth a thousand dollars though. Maybe I'm just getting old!!

You are just hearing about the problems. The majority are enjoying their add ons.

Whatever fits your pistol! From what I've seen on this Forum, as well as my friends' experience with their '07 baggers, 38 mpg is the norm for stock bikes. Most complain about the heat. I think a quieter bike is better for everyone.......stock exhaust might be a little too quiet for some....myself included. Hang on to your PCIII......properly programmed, it will cool that engine regardless of your reverting back with every other component.

PCIII properly programmed?? I bought the pc from Jamie at Fuelmotto along with se slipons and k&N air cleaner. He loaded a map that was close. The bike ran fine except foran intermittent stumble when pulling out from a red light. It stalled a couple of times! I took it to aDynojet tuning center near were I live and spent another 271$ to have it put on the dyno. This did not help.

I'm sending it back to Dynojet to have the unit checked out. Many are happy with their pc's but some are also having the same problem. I'm going to give it one more chance.

I'd do the same........Jamie preprogrammed mine and it is perfect. What a shame to have to go through all this.....I'm sorry for your woes. Jamie will make it right.......he's a stand-up guy.

Sounds like you are more than a little P.O.'d with the scenario.....can't blame you. Hope it all works out quickly............good luck!

Remember going back to stock you will probably have to have the ECM
redone again as now you will be running rich.
But since HD traditionally runs lean anyway you might be ok.

Unless of course you had the stage 1 d/l done and leave the Screaming
Eagle Air Cleaner on. then you should be ok

Sounds to me like the guy that did the dyno did a poor job , your basic mods are similar to mine and mine runs dead nuts on with a fuel moto canned map . One question , did you contact Jamie with your problems before you went with the dyno ? The first map he sent me was a little off , I contacted him and he sent me a different map and I am very happy , and can't justify the cash for a dyno tune at this time with my basic mods.

Are you using the throttle accelerator? That seems to be causing the idle stumble. Jamie says don't use it.
