Default Dash interchange

I have a 2008 Road King Police FLHP
Dash is 60960-08 and insert is 71209-08 and seemingly the same as other RK of that year

Which other model dash will fit?
More specifically will an 06 dash fit?

you have the 6 gallon tank- yay!- the 06 uses a 5 gallon, different contour.

you can use this website to figure out parts interchange- the last 2 digits denote the year the part was introduced:

http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.....asp?make=hdmc

pretty much any console 08 and later should fit- there can be slight differences at the seat juncture from model to model

Is the Police model tank larger, or are all 08's and later the same 6 USG tank?

I assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that the Police dash was the same as the standard RK as Ronnies HD does not list the Police FLHP in 08

Using Ronnies link I see that the dash and insert is the same from 08-13
What it does not tell me is that while it may have changed cosmetically, will later years still fit?

all 08+ use the same "6 gallon" tank ( 23.75 L/ 5.25 Imp gal)

Ronnies is only one of several on-line parts websites. I prefer Granite, who do include the Police models, including your year.

The instrument panel for your bike is #60960-08, so any trim panel available for that part will fit yours. There may also be aftermarket, even H-D add-on parts that will fit. The dash panel itself changed in 2014, although the tank remains the same as yours.

i used to really like granite myself, but then they changed all the prices to 'call us'. even though i was usually able to get the item for much cheaper, i liked being able to see a baseline price. ronnies was always slow on the loading of new models, and they don't even have the 2013 fltrxse2.

my new go-to is st charles: http://www.stcharlesharleydavidson.c...partfinder.htm though are others as well. find one that you like, and keep it in your bookmarks. its a valuable resource.
