Default New exhaust

Can anyone recommend new exhaust for my 2016 road glide coo ultra? Want to get little more hp and get sounds like a Harley.

Exhaust alone isn't going to get you more power, just more noise. Reinhart sound great and I have Screaming Eagle basic slip-ons that I picked up used here on the forum. They sound great and are legal so they don't drone on me while touring and annoy everyone around me. Louder than stock, deeper tone, and work great with the cams and tuner on my bike. They also worked great when i just had Stage One DL and AC.

I would ride the bike for a few thousand miles before I made any changes. It takes a solid 5k for these bike to break in and loosen up.

When you have been a member long enough you use the search function for many responses. Many will advise you exhaust is very subjective and much depends on if you decat the stock header, install an aftermarket cat free header or true duals or just install slip on's. My advice would be to google these companies:
Fulsac
American Custom Exhaust
Fuelmotousa
B&E Performance
V&H Performance Fp3 Tuner
Read what they have to offer and then call Jamie at Fuelmotousa and tell him what you want to do and follow what he tells you. It will be good advice

You need to know what you want. Be honest about how you ride. More HP? More torque? More noise? True duals with Rineharts, a good tune and a lower RPM sounds the best. 2into1 will yield the most HP. Fuelmoto.com has some videos of exhaust sounds, plus dyno sheets that can help.

Questions like the OP has are always interesting to look at, I don't know why, maybe its like looking at a trainwreck, IDK. But having been in the same position you are in I can tell you that the responces will no doubt be all over the board and that is because everyoone has different tastes and desires of what they want their bike to sound like and what they want to accomplish. I would start by asking yourself a few questions.

1. What kind of sound do I want? Deep rumble like a muscle car, classic HD sound, or higher pitch and raspy.

2. What kind of exhaust system do I want? Duals or 2 into 1?

3. Do I want to remove the cat by replacing the head pipe or will decatting the stock pipe do? Or neither and keep that stock?

4. Am I looking for maximum performance gains for the money I will spend? Will I be looking at my own dyno sheets? Do I want to pull away from the pack?

It comes down to sound, looks, and function. ACCORDING TO YOU AND ONLY YOU.
its been suggested many of times and I will pay it forward. Check out your local bike night. Thats where you will see and here what you want.

Have fun searching.

Sure let ME tell YOU what YOU want.. What's your budget, do you want duals, 2into1 do you want to run a ghost pipe, do you want more power or more sound or a little of both.. That Harley sound is subject but if that's what's your looking for then u should probably get a carbed bike with some drag pipes

Read, read, read before you do a mod of this magnitude. After you've read all there is to read then start asking questions. While your at bike rallies, listen to all the exhaust notes etc. After awhile you'll see what you might want, then you can start a thread asking questions about any pitfalls with what strikes your fancy. One thing I learned the hard way that I didn't pick up when I was reading that was only mentioned briefly; True Duals will rob a relatively stock motor of low-end torque. A 2 into 1 will give you excellent low-end off the line torque. An exhaust with a cross over scavenging system will do the same. That's where there's a pipe somewhere in the header that connects both pipes together allowing both jugs to scavenge exhaust. Once you understand the constants now decide which exhaust gives you wood. Come back and let us know how we can help but you'll need to do the work first.

Dyno numbers are not very reliable, but true duals give you more low end torque, and 2into1 gives you top end.
