Finally got a chance to ride it. Clutch feels a whole lot better. Shifts are smoother, no slipping, no dragging, easy neutral. No complaints. Makes me think that I had my adjustment out of whack before without really realizing it. For anyone who is having the issue of the cable running out of threads; try what dandrumheller recommended. Worked for me.

I will try his process today and will ride this afternoon to see what I get.
dandrumheller, I am also at 1/2 turn because of my limited cable adjustment and my clutch hooks up too quickly for me. I am going to try 5/8 to 3/4 to see if I can get a little longer clutch engagement.
i followed dandrumheller and skully's instructions and I had similar results. After several adjustments I was able to get the adjustment made as I like and have plenty of cable adjustment left.
A quick ride this evening shows I have a little more friction zone, I think from backing the adjusting screw back 3/4 instead of 1/2 turn. My clutch engages in the center of the lever throw and is much smoother.
I can't say shifting is any better than before and neutral is the same, I just am glad to have some adjustment room again.
I believe we all just had the ramp and ***** out of whack.
