I just replaced the horn on my 05WG. I used the HD horn that comes on the 14 and up touring bikes. Its LOUD and its a snap to swap and its cheap to do. Its a catalog part. My old HSTC - I had a Rivco dual trumpet but I like the HD horn better and its half the price.

Depending on whether you want air horns or electric coil will affect what direction you go. If you go air, yes, get one with a good compressor. If you go electric, make sure to put in a relay as to not overload your horn switch. I have my relay under where the horn used to go and mounted the two Fiamm hi/lo horns on the front frame. Much louder. People do hear me as I have had to use them as people start walking over into my lane.

I have used a WOLO "Bad Boy" air horn rated at 123.5 decibels for several years & it's at least twice as loud as the stock horn. The body is plastic & it's a direct replacement for the stock horn.
PS don't get the chrome as it will peel off the plastic body. I had to paint mine flat black after the chrome started peeling off.

if you don't have the alarm siren, you can mount a fiamm freeway blaster under the left side cover. I forget if the stock horn is the same as the hi or low but that one isn't needed, only the other. it then sounds just like a car

Tne stock MoCo horn is pathetic. I had a Rivco on my Fat Bob, and it was scary loud. Too bad that 10 days after I installed it, the storm surge from Sandy delivered 4 feet of salt water into my garage...

I've got the Rivco twin horns and you can hear them blocks away. Hit the horn with them and it usually startles cars away and makes them start looking for the source.
