First hello. I am new to HD and the forum. I just purcheased a 2015 Electra Glide Ultra Limited from Eagle Rider in Orlando and had a question about the key fob security system. I have rented the FLHTK from twice before and it had the security fob each time. When I bought this bike it did NOT have the key FOB and was told that the some of their bikes came with it and some did not. The bike obviously started and I have not found a fob hidden on the bike. However, when I looked up the specs from HD I saw that the Security System was STD in 2015. What gives. COULD they have bought a batch WITHOUT this standard feature?

The security system is standard on the Limited's. I guess a rental place could have special ordered bikes without it or disabled it after they took possession. I think you can go to a dealer and have them run a build sheet on your bike from the VIN. It would be interesting to see what you find out.
I'm not familiar with the new Rushmore models but turn the bike off and watch the turn signals. If they blink after a second or two, that's the security system setting. The key fob is on the bike somewhere. If no blink, no security.
You have a fob some where man, keep looking. Who ever told you that, is wrong, no fob means no security. Bike wont start with out the fob close by. Either your fob is hidden someplace or you dont have security, but limited came standard with one...so look for a fob.
Unless I'm completely wrong in which case everything you just read is a waste of breath!
Was your bike purchased as a new bike, a used bike or something else like off rental?
If where you bought it can't or won't help you then try another dealer. I know Space Coast HD is a pretty decent dealer to work with.
I have a 14 FLHTK and when I picked it up the dealer had never enabled the security system. I had to bring it to my local dealer to have them activate the security. I brought the bike, 2 fobs and the number I wanted to use as a pin and the dealer set everything up for me. Before the security was activated the turn signals did not flash and the red light on the dash never flashed because the system never armed.
I bought the bike from Eagle Rider in Orlando, an Indian dealership. The bike starts w/o any FOB. The security light on the speedo goes on for a few seconds, then off. Since the security system is standard on the Ultra Limited, it seems odd that a rental dealer would order them w/o the system (they are most likely installed at assembly). I wouldn't think this would save them money. It would be like buying a car w/o the radio (which I HAVE done). I have had the left and right covers off and don't find a fob. Could they have disabled it to avoid hassles with renters losing the fob? I would look for the module if I knew where it is located on the bike. Next step- bring it to a dealer to check it out.
