I have the 508's and like them a lot. But as SoCal_Pappy says, the wrist angle takes a little getting used to. If I could rewind the tape, I would probably go with the 518's or consider the 504's as described above.
Hey Donkey, any chance of posting some pics of your bike with those bars? I love the look of my beach bars but they pull me too far forward and I can't really seem to relax long rides. ( they were on the bike when I bought it) I am looking for some pull back and maybe a bit higher but definately more pullback.
I'm 6-1 and riding on the same seat. Using the RK High bars, turned out to be a good combo for me. You're a smart fellow to take the seat into consideration when researching handlebars, comparing bars on a bike with a different seat is not a good comparison.
Harpoon,
photo of bike w/518's. If you want I can post pic of bike with old bars held above these for comparison.
I am riding stock seat with 2" foam removed and replaced with memory foam by BadX. Makes me sit a little lower and with added pullback/width of bars it is a tremendous improvement.
Hey Donkey, thanks alot for the pic. those do really look nice. And without having to change any cabling keep money in my pocket.( which keeps the wife happy) If you have some free time to to a compare that could be usefull..
Thanks again.
Oh one more que, as mentioned above the 504's is he saying that it has more pullback that the 518? I do like that they are very wide.
