I have 93 softail used a dremel to cut off old lever then use dremel to sharpen spline on trans shaft and on the new btr lvr . Had to modify new lever as it clamps down like the stock one only in the front, if you cut down the back 1/8 of an inch so the top of the new lever sits flat on ur work bench this way when you put it in it will compress on the trans spline equally . I could not get it to get tight enough on the spline until i trim the back down.
