Default Exhaust systems

Hey guys,

I'm new and this is my first Harley and I wanted to make some upgrades. I need some advice and hopefully I can be pointed in the right direction. I have a 2014 Street Gilde that I would like to add a Vance & Hines air cleaner and a set of Big Radius 2 into 2 pipes.

I've never upgraded stuff like this and I was hoping it would lead to better mpg and louder pipes to help with my commute everyday to work.

I'm not sure where to even go? Do they do this kind of work at the dealership or do I have to find a custom shop?

Thanks in advance for the input.

Mac

You more than likely not get better MPG's.

I buy a lot of my parts on amazon. Great prices and free shipping on most orders if you have prime. The dealer can get you almost anything but at a higher cost. You'll need some kind of tuner when you open the airflow. I have used the power commander 5, the screaming eagle pro race tuner and now the Vance & Hines Fuel pack 3. The FP3 is the easiest of the 3. Use the app for your phone to load your maps and run auto tune to dial it in. If you're sticking with V&H parts the FP3 makes sense as they have all the maps for any pipe you get. And they say no need to auto tune if you use their parts. Also. Get the shop manual for your bike. Has all the info you'll ever need to do y I ur own work on the bike.

I've heard that the short style pipes are a tuning nightmare. Just wanted to throw it out there.

MAC, most guys do it themselves, and if you know someone with a lift table it makes it EZer.
You can take it to a H-D dealer, or an Independent shop, and pay their labor and parts
prices. Just Saying
