anyone running this breather? Looking at purchasing one for 14 street glide, like the idea that it hugs the engine for a low profile look and increased leg room http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...18-29400173--1
running jackpot slip ons and just installed power vision, hopefully the breather will add a little hp
I'm running that one but I also have the 1" floorboard extenders. I had the Ventilator but even with the extenders my leg still hit it, with the Heavy Breather my leg no longer hits. Sorry for the bad cell phone picture but you can still see how it looks.
OP,
just about any aftermarket hiflow intake will flow more than the motor could ever demand.
at this point it is a fashion show- or looks.
if you want function and cost is a concern, the Ness Big Sucker can be found on ebay for about $130 from easternpc. get the chrome backing plate version, it better complements the chrome and black motor on your models.
Generally a "stage 1" will net 7 to 10 horsepower over stock...this applies from the Evo era up to 2013
the stock '14+ air cleaner flows better than the version used in the '13 and earlier- you may not see as much in the way of gains as we have seen with earlier bikes...I have not yet seen flow numbers or empirical air cleaner comparos of the air cleaners- with everything else remaining equal
