ZZRider sed: Im not much of a mechanic or a engineer, but would a oil pressure increase due to a filter change not indicate restricted oil flow? If the oil flows from the pump to the filter and then distributes thru the engine (and im not sure if thats how it works) I would be afraid of actually less flow to the vital parts....not being critical here....just opening a discussion.
If the oil filter is in the supply line between the pump and engine as it is on the Twinkie, and the filter has less pressure drop across it than a similar filter, there will be more pressure available at the engine.
OTOH, if the filter is in the return line, ala Evo, then more pressure at the engine might indicate a flow problem. But having seen the specs on several AC Delco filters, they flow quite freely; they are generally some of the freest flowing filters, and are top-notch in the filtration end, too.
Make sure that you use the oil for a twin cam and not the EVO. The EVO flows different volume and it will affect the oil pressure. I use the SE Syn 3 20W-50 in all three. I used the Mobil 1 V-Twin Syn and it went off the shelves in Autozone, so I had the dealer put it in at the 1000 mile service. I am going back to the Mobil 1 since you can get it at Walmart and it's cheaper there.

My bike runs about 195 during an average day.
Good luck.
I'm assuming (yeah, I know - ***-u&me) you mean to use the Twinkie oil filter. It's a 10 micron filter and shouldn't be used on an Evo as it can go into bypass too easily. Using an Evo filter on a Twinkie won't hurt, might give you a little more pressure, but won't filter as well. Unless Donnie Smith's theory is correct about Twinkie filters bypassing most of the time, which means Twinkie filters are pretty much worthless!
