Default oddity with color scheme

My bike is a 2012 RK classic, has the purple paint with orange flames. I noticed on other bikes with that color scheme the flames are throughout the bike, but on mine there are no flames on the rear fender. The bike had only 300 miles on it when I got it, has not been in an accidents, etc. Would this be something right from factory, that some would have the flames on the rear fender and some not?

That's a MY2012 spring custom color, and the tank, side covers and front fender did come with flames, the rear fender did not.

Ok thanks for clarifying. I guess later on when they did the color they added the flames to the rear fender as well.

Those bikes didn't have the colored decals applied to the rear fender. If you saw one that did, somebody had it done for them at a shop.
