Good question but I think the only way to know that is when you install given that you do the install. I believe you would need about 2" to get the 02 sensors out.
looks like by reading the description on the D&D website it comes with both the 12mm & 18mm ports. I have the dragula 2 system which has both ports and I have both sensors installed. running the auto tune it runs off the wide band sensors and when you send the tune to the ecm it uses the narrow bands to fine tune to the afr"s that are usually set from 14.2 -14.6 through the cruise area and those relearned values are flashed with a turn of the ignition switch after every drive cycle.
even if you have to take the head pipes off, they are 1 piece, held on by the transmission bracket, and the exhaust flanges. It takes no time to take em off and back on.
For what it's worth - I changed my set up about 3 times, and FM sent me the same "custom tune" map for all 3 configurations. I am not very impressed with them at all - just my .02.
I would suggest, whatever you do, get it tuned elsewhere than a FM map...
I would think you would have to at least loosen the bolts enough to tilt the pipe out to have enough room to get to the sensors To get them out or in.but than if you have to go that far might as well take the pipe on off.best way to see would try it when you are putting the pipe on to see if there is enough room.
Silly of me to think I could ask a simple question, can you install the stock 02 sensors on a bike with the headpipe in place, without getting FM bashing. Wiz if you read this thread, please delete the whole thing. I am done posting on here.
Simple answer...yes but not without some work to free up the exhaust.
