Your 03 has the spring cam tensioners & the dreaded 'silent chain' not hydraulic tensioners. HD has a kit to change over to the newer hydraulic tensioners & roller chain. I think the kit is about $1,800. I went with the SS gear drive cams & eliminated the chain & tensioners all together in my 05 RKC over 90,000 miles ago.
I just did my 03 using Cyco replacement shoes, all new bearings, SE adjustable push rods and a Drag Specialties high volume oil pump. It turns out the scavenge rotor in my old pump swallowed something in it's past. The new pump gives great pressure all the time.
If your original tensioners lasted 13yrs, like mine, it's hard to justify the additional cost of the hydraulic upgrade.
You'll need a puller and installer for the inner cam bearings and a way to press the cams in and out of the cam plate. Follow the shop manual instructions and use a torque wrench for all your fasteners and you'll be fine.
