The countdown has begun to see what the dealerships and the moco will do.We have come to an aggreement, but I'm just as curious as you all to find out what will really happen.
godd luck AB, I think I would do a carfax on that bike, find out more info, for your own ammo, then confront the dealer with whatever you find out. Its wrong anyway, even if you dont find out, but somethin' dont sound right with that bike. They MUST have known something.
I think I would do a carfax on that bike, find out more info
Last I heard, there were only 27 states that subscribe to Carfax. Just because nothing negative shows up doesn't mean all is good. Check out Carfax fully in your area before you depend on it for info. If you're in the right area and the info is accurate, use the info to your advantage.
I'll close the poll when the deal is done. All I have right now is what the dealership/s/moco intends to do.
Remember, this is what you think the combined efforts of all involved dealerships and the MoCo will do to remedy this situation, not what they should do or what I/you want them to do.
can't be much on a CARFAX anyhow.... think it was a 'new' '06 that hadn't been sold yet. How much info would be in the CARFAX database?
I voted for '07 at no additional cost. with this having gone on for as long as it has... I, in my own mind, am convinced that ArticBadger don't want that '06 back... whether they rip it apart or not. It isn't what they fix... but what could have been missed/not-replaced that would show up down the road. Artic Badger ain't no fool..... not gonna take back a frozen-bike only had for a few miles and hazzza 2 be torn apart.
Not goin with any of the '06 options as this doesn't compensate him for not having the bike for a month ... and the issues of having to deal with all of this. 5yr extended warrenty ... pfffffffft ..... not even worth anything (no $$$ out of MOCO's pocket). Adding 'towing'.... well that to me says... that MOCO ain't confident they can get the bike fixed right if they would feel the need to throw in towing. So I'm goin for the 'upgrade' to the '07 line for no additional cost.
I'm sure there were similar propositions about extended warrenties and towing but I'm sure there is some 'agreement' between the parties and just don't think those 2 things are gonna the situation 'good'. I'm sure Artic Badger pressed things and the agreement is to scrap that bike and just make the customer a lil happier. Dealer will eat the old bike. Won't be MoCo. Wasn't MoCo's fault in it of itself. It is the dealership that will have to eat the cost of the bike being ridden out with no fluid in it. I still say... new bike! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
