So I am going to tryout my sepst soon. Hoping someone can help me with a couple basic questions...
1. Does it really matter if the base map is far off? The sepst map catalog is quite limited but does it really matter if the base maps are way off or way different from what I am going for as long as the bike still runs decent under the base map...seeing as I am building a new map anyways? So the base map I am looking at is just 103, SE a/c, and "race" exhaust. I have that with power duals and monster rounds. I know that is the map I am supposed to use but just curios as long as it runs well enough with the base map then it really doesn't matter (the starting points in the map) to build a new map??
Thing is I am thinking for future mods. Bike currently runs great and previous owner set it up with Stage 1. I am wondering because at some point I want to change stage 1 components and change cams so I am concerned I will not be able to get a base map for it.
