Default Extended Heel Shifter Suggestions?

I'd like to get some more floorboard room on the left side so I'm looking at extended heel shifters. I am reviewing Softbrake, EZ-Brake and Kuryakyn, what else should I be lookng at? What have you tried and what is your take? I know the Kuryakyn cost less, but after watching some pricey highway pegs finish decay after only about a year on the bike I'm suspicious of their products.

No, those are the big 3, so to speak. Maybe others, but honestly, it would be Softbrake or EZbrake for me. In fact, I went with EZbrake, cost a little more, but amazing customer service.

My RK doesn't have the heel shifter and I prefer it that way, you could always remove it unless you really like having a heel shifter.

I got a cheap one off eBay that has been working fine for a few years. Of course I had it powder coated black so can't comment on original finish...

I put the walter's workshop extended shift lever on my street glide. Got it from jp cycles. Quality appears top notch and haven't had any problems with it. I use my heel for all up shifts and I love that my floorboard on that side has much more room now

I never could get used to the heel shifter, I tired, and now it's the first mod I do on a new bike. If your looking for more room, as another mentioned, unless you really like it, get rid of it and you will have a ton of room.

I have the toe shifter set just low enough I can get my boot under it. I can almost shift by moving my big toe inside the boot,

IMHO, get rid of the heel shifter and get some 1" floorboard extensions

Softbrake 1.5 inch extended works great for me. You can drop the heel shifter a little lower when you get it past the end of the floorboard.

I find the only time I use the heel shifter, is when I need to find neutral. I don't know why but it locates neutral for me better than the toe shifter.I need to work on my toe skills and lose the heel as well.
