Reason why I kept my TC95 for this long....waiting for day this to come out .....not so many did, 09s with new frame, Rushmore, oh people rushed....Now 17s.....Now it's time to part everything on my bike because no trade in value, thats okay still ahead.....I have my radar out for a **** load of use CVO'S. Hmmm

I agree. I have my 15 RGS that is light years ahead of my 03 RKC. I'm sure the motor and other things are an improvement, but I will wait until the bugs shake out and until this engine gets stuffed in a new touring frame. Hope this happens by 2019- I'll be ready to buy again then.

You don't have to buy one.
Your old bike is fine.
The EPA isn't going to come confiscate your ride.
It might wind up being a big steaming pile, and everyone who buys one might wish they kept their old bike.
I personally won't be buying one anytime soon, if ever. I'll find a nice garage queen when I'm ready to replace. I bought a 2012 this year, because I didn't like the Rushmore bikes when I test rode them.
I am just curious what you disliked about the Rushmore, I traded my 2011 Road king for a 14 and have not looked back I love my 14 RK.

I would say the 114 may have a chance to run with my 113 Yammie. The 113 is pretty wicked in stock form.

I also read a Harley tech forum that has a lot of posters that work in the Harley repair business. Several have already posted pics of the new engine heads removed.....

According to one poster on that forum, the gas tank will need to be removed and there is a special tool to remove the spark plug wire/cap. He had a pic of the plugs in the head....

Not a big deal, it takes all of 5 minutes to remove the 09+ tanks and you now have to change plugs what, every 30K miles.....

The new engine looks intriguing, I'll probably wait a year before adding one to my stable...

Anyone hear it yet? Does the low idle make it sound more like an EVO?

Yep. Harley could come out with a 200HP air cooled motor that runs as quiet and cool as a Mercedes for 200,000 miles and some people would bitch about it.

Bagger gas tanks are easy to take off. Definitely not as bad as a Heritage! Maybe an extra 5 minutes involved. But unless they are using different plugs, it will probably still be a clean/re-gap every 5k and replace every 10k.
