A big part of the bars working is getting them positioned to where they feel good to you. When I first installed my Yaffe MBB I put them strait up because it looked the best and while seated stationary felt good. After the first couple rides I knew this wasn't going to work and adjusted them to pull back a few inches. Now their perfect, couldn't imagine riding without them. Stock bars had me reaching forward too much, with my bad back that wasn't going to work.
I'm 5'8", here's my seated position with the yaffes.
Installed these myself on a 2015 SGS. I got more time than money. Great video on YouTube, no extensions required although my clutch is a bit tight.
Bars are a bit wide, but I/m tall and lanky so it works for me.
