Default Front speaker static problem

My 97Ultra learned a new trick while sitting all winter.
When I have the stereo andfront speakers turnedon and I turn the front wheel/forks all the wayto the rightI get aloud static and crackle soundfrom the right front fairingspeaker.
Once the forks are all the way to the right it stops and the speaker works again.
It only does it when I turn the handlebars to the right and it seems to be only comingfrom the front right speaker.
When I'm riding straight down the road everything works and soundsperfect and all speakers have sound.
I've tried to wiggle the wires on the bars but I haven't opened the front fairingshell up yet to investigate.
Everything is stock on the bike.
Any ideas orsuggestions?

Thanks.

Pull the fairing and check for loose wires at the speaker

Timex has the right idea... But while your there might as well up-grade the speakers seeing as there 10 years old and speakers tend to fail with age...
