I don't like all that stuff on my bike, except for maybe having speakers in the lowers and saddlebags, like the 2013 CVO Kings. However, I do like my detachable lower fairings.

For me I use a decent set of noise-isolation ear buds and use with my phone for music. It sounds great at any speed and also keeps wind noise out.

Then, really, this wasn't really directed at you I suppose!

The OP was asking for options and ideas. I was merely illustrating one. Perhaps the OP would also like a similarly clean look.

I have a Reckless Detachable Fairing for my 'King, use it mostly during the winter. The Head Unit is Infinity, with Polk Audio Speakers, all marine units. Great system.
When the fairing is off, if I want music, I use Bluetooth Ear Buds that have noise cancellation and noise isolation that do very well. Mine have soft ear hooks that keep them in the ear well, and a small cable that connects the two together with the control down on the cable so you can reach the controls with your helmet on. Got 'em off Amazon.
This works for me.
