Default rear brake ?

Dealer replaced my rear brake pads and rotor. Now it howls when i use my rear brake. Very embarrising You guys think it might just be the harley brand pads.I never had a bike sound like this when I came to a stop. I got to do something. I normally do this stuff myself but it was a warranty thing on a used 06 bagger I just bought. I said something to the service mgr. but he has one answer for everything ( it's a harley ) What a clown

Talk to his boss and ask him/her if they would accept that on their bike. Also call the warranty people and HD home office. Don't stop until your satisfied.

If it's constant under all riding conditions then the most obvious would be contaminated pads or warped rotor. Aesthetics notwithstanding is the brake grabbing properly, if not then you also have a safety problem.

In answer to your question about the pads, IMO the Harley pads are actually pretty good if a bit dusty. It's easy enough to check for a warped rotor if you have some means to elevate the rear wheel and spin it.
