Does any one know if the 2017 M8's are fully Bluetooth now are do they still require you to plug in as in the previous years?

Still plug in. Aside from the most recent software update, little to no attention was given to the 6.5GT Boom Box platform. My guess is that the current infotainment system will never see the Headset Profile (HSP) needed to give full Bluetooth headset connectivity. More than likely it will be added to a replacement system in the future.

I sure hope this replacement system will be plug and play with the old. Fingers crossed.

I am thinking this might fall into the same category as Shoei not bringing their Bluetooth communication device (partnered with cardo) ( http://cardosystems.com/portfolio-item/cardo-sho-1/ ) to North America. I talked to a Shoei rep and he said they made a decision not to bring to North America because of the liability (people talking on phone while riding) in US and Canada. Thinking there could be lawsuits so they didn't release it here.
The only way to get it is from Europe. It got great reviews too.
Just my thoughts.
